Breeze International Youth Festival

As part of the Breeze International Youth Festival,Garforth Jazz Rock Band will be performing at Leeds Town Hall.This showcase evening will bring together students from Leeds and around the world in a celebratory event of music and dance.

Siyaya

Bassa Bassa

Leeds big band Bassa Bassa,described as “merchants of musical mayhem” ,
have appeared at Glastonbury and WOMAD, and featured in many festivals
throughout the UK and Europe. Strong jazz foundations blend with blasts
of ska, latin, African and funk - always with a colourful and energetic stage
presence of musicians who are obviously enjoying themselves.

SLP College presents – ‘Strictly Musical ’

‘Scab ’ – debut performance

This much anticipated production,by award winning writer Susie Spencer, takes us on a journey through the devastating events of the 1980 ’s miners strike, graphically depicting its impact on a close knit community. The play focuses on two brothers,Eddie and Dave, and portrays a no-holds-barred account of a critical episode in recent British history. Please note: the performance includes the use of strong language.

Shaun T Hunter

Having already written the score for the film Bad Day, created the theme tune for UK Uncovered, the diversity of his work continues as prolific as ever. His live performances are a stunning confirrmation of a man completely at ease with the music he delivers, heart on his sleeve, undulating energy and sheer wild abandon.
